This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th
European PVM/MPI Users' Group Meeting held in Balatonfüred,
Hungary in September 2000. The 35 revised papers and seven
posters presented were carefully reviewed and selected for
inclusion in the book. The book offers topical sections on
evaluation and performance, algorithms, extensions and
improvements, implementation, heterogenous distributed
systems, tools, and applications in science and engineering. All
current aspects of the parallel virtual machine approach and the
message passing interface paradigm are addressed.
