What is ILO-CEET?

ILO-CEET is the Central and Eastern European Team of the International Labour Organisation.

Under its Active Partnership Policy, the International Labour Organisation has set up Multidisciplinary Advisory Teams in 14 regions of the world. This policy is aimed at bringing the ILO closer to the governments and the employers` and workers` organisations in the member States. It embodies a new approach to relations between the ILO and its tripartite membership, based on continuous interaction and dialogue. The objective is to strengthen the ILO`s capacity to provide advisory services and technical cooperation programmes in conformity with international labour standards.

The Multidisciplinary Team for Central and Eastern Europe (ILO-CEET) in Budapest started to operate in the beginning of 1993. At present it covers the following countries: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Republic of Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Ukraine.
